Three Volumes of Boxiana (1812, 1818 & 1824)
Boxiana, or Sketches of Ancient and Modern Pugilism by Piece Egan, is one of the more desired elements of early boxing. There are three volumes offered here. Most important is the first volume of 1812, a first edition published by George Smeeton that is 482 pages. There is the second volume dated 1818 with 574 pages. Finally, an 1824 Volume 4 with 580 pages. All three have been rebound from the original boards and show foxing to pages, as well as binding wear. Hartley #587.
