Tall, colorful poster of Colonel. Tim McCoy during his 1937 tour with the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Attractive full color poster measures approximately 21" X 62" and shows McCoy in his full western uniform complete with rifle, 10 gallon hat and white gloves with painted symbols on them, standing in front of a beautiful big sunlit western sky with Indian teepees in the background. The poster touts McCoy as the "Idol of American Youth who heads Thrilling Congress of Rough Riders and Indians at Every Performance". The performance took place in Springfield on June 26 , 1937. McCoy was an early film star who performed throughout the country for many years. This lovely poster is over 5 feet high. There are some tape marks and creases near the edges but overall, EX+
