Tom Sayers Currier & Ives print
Currier & Ives print from 1860 is one of several that came out of the bare-knuckle bout between American John Heenan and British champ Tom Sayers, which ended in a draw after the English crowd stormed the ring to save a beleaguered Sayers. These prints sparked interest in the U.S. for the sport. 13 x 16" print captures Sayers in his yellow knickers and red sash and is EX save for 2 small spots next to the image. Framed under glass.
