"Toward Indians' Pow-Wow" S. Juharos Oil on Canvas (58x42")
Amazing oil/acrylic on canvas entitled "Toward Indians' Pow-Wow" by Stephen Juharos (1913-2010). This impressive piece features bright colors, vivid imagery and depicts a peaceful Native American social gathering with elders, children, animals and wildlife. Signed and dated "1980" by Stephen Juharos on the lower right, this example is also signed "S. Juharos/82" on the verso. Oil/acrylic on canvas measures 34x50" unframed and 42x58" in it's handsome molded giltwood frame. No obvious retouch noticed. Brass plaque on frame is labeled "Friends For Pow Wow" although the name given to the work by Juharos is "Toward Indians' Pow-Wow."
