Truett Smith 1952 Pittsburgh Steelers Game Worn Jersey from QB Jim Finks (MEARS Letter)
He was a blocking back for two years in the early days of the NFL, and Truett Smith likely wore this black Steelers jersey during a 1952 preseason game, shortly before he announced his retirement. The MEARS Letter of Opinion states the jersey was sourced from Pittsburgh quarterback Jim Finks though there was no documentation to confirm the claim. The jersey shows great use and the color has faded over time. Smith was originally drafted by the Chicago Bears.
