Turn-of-the-Century Three-Piece Baseball Charm with Game-in-Progress Scene

Turn-of-the-Century Three-Piece Baseball Charm with Game-in-Progress Scene

Attractive three-piece baseball charm dating from the turn of the century. This is the first example of this charm we have ever seen and it is most likely unique. Each of the three metallic pieces are decorated in raised relief. The top panel pictures a batter in mid swing, while the center panel features a game-in-progress scene. The bottom piece is circular and displays a crossed bats-and-ball design. The reverse of each of the two top panels pictures a catcher's mask on the left side, and a baseball glove on the right side. The reverse of the circular piece is blank. No manufacturer's stampings are visible. The charm, when fully extended, measures 3" in height and 1.25" in width. Excellent condition overall.
