Twelve 1916 Red Sox vs. Dodgers World Series Photographs
<p>Wonderful selection of all Type I photos from the 1916 World Series between the Boston Red Sox and Brooklyn Robins. A few of the 8x10" black and white action shots are duplicates and several have lost their captions from the verso, but among those identified are: Chick Shorten sliding into second (2), and Larry Gardner crossing home after a Game 3 homer (2). Extensive stamping from either Brown Brothers or International Film Service on versos, photos show wear but generally display nicely. From the archives of Brown Bros, whose photo aggregation service was founded in 1904.</p>
