Two 1939 Hall of Fame Induction Signed Baseballs
June 12, 1939 was the start of an undying tradition, a tradition recognizing the highest honor associated with our national pastime. It was the day the legendary first members were inducted into the Hallowed Halls, and the day the Hall of Fame and museum opened its doors to be displayed in all its glory. Two signed baseballs from that all-important ceremony of ceremonies with a total of 31 signatures (12 on one, 19 on the other) including Speaker, Johnson, Ruth, Collins, Lajoie, Young, Evers, Landis (2), Harridge, Frick, L. Waner, Medwick, Vaughn, D. Dean as well as Mrs. Mathewson & Mrs. McGraw. All of the most important signatures are clearly legible with only a few lighter. Both balls with printed "Hall of Fame" are almost completely white with just the slightest hint of toning. One ball is somewhat separated at the seam, the other is EX-MT.
