Two Early 1970’s New York Jets Game Worn Jerseys

Two Early 1970’s New York Jets Game Worn Jerseys

Offered are two spectacular vintage game worn New York Jets jerseys worn in the late 1960’s. The #67 and #64 jerseys were most likely worn by Jets guards, Dave Herman and Pete Perrault. Dave Herman was a member of Joe Namath’s champion New York Jets squad that performed the “Upset for the Ages”, making the impossible possible by defeating the Baltimore Colts in the 1969 Super Bowl. Weeb Ewbank shifted Herman from guard to tackle to face off against Bubba Smith, a move which helped the Jets become the first AFL team to win a Super Bowl. Both jerseys exhibit very strong use with multiple scuffs and team repairs (especially Dave Herman’s jersey). Both are tagged by Champion on the front tail with size “L” printed in red. Each with crotch piece intact.
