Two Great Fred Astaire Pieces

Two Great Fred Astaire Pieces

"Gotta Dance!" That was Fred Astaire's credo and no one was better on his feet than him. This lot includes a 1937 "Shall We Dance" window card. The Gershwin Brothers' art-deco extravaganza starred Fred & familiar partner Ginger Rogers. The beautiful, heavy cardboard piece is framed to 16" x 24". Additionally, there's a Fred and Adele Astaire photo that displays magnificently. It's an exceptional, heavy-duty image of the two. The gold plate is from the 1920s. It is believed the piece hung in a NYC Theater, possibly the Ziegfeld.
