Two Rocky Marciano vs. Joe Walcott Oversized Photos
The true ferocity of boxing is on display in these two oversize 11x14" vintage prints of the September 23, 1952 Heavyweight Championship fight between Rocky Marciano and Joe Walcott. Both images have been created from original negatives and show Marciano delivering devastating blows to the head of Walcott on his way to winning the bout in the thirteenth round by way of knockout. The fight was a pitched battle, with Marciano being on the verge of losing a number of times, including a first-round knockdown by Walcott, but Rocky fought hard and stuck to his strategy of pummeling Walcott's body, eventually sending the then-champ to the mat for good after the stunning combination of hooks and jabs depicted here. Photos are both in EX condition.
