Ty Cobb Original Painting by R. Tallon 1981
A peach of a portrait. Part of a series of five paintings depicting original Hall of Famers Babe Ruth, Honus Wagner, Walter Johnson and Christy Mathewson. This excellent rendering of Ty Cobb in the traditional T206 pose measures approximately 20" x 24.5" in its original frame and was signed "R Tallon" at the bottom corner in 1981. It is in NRMT condition. A limited edition of 367 prints were made and sold in sets of five.
