Ty Cobb Portrait Glass Plate Negative
Classic circa 1910 glass plate negative of Ty Cobb. Portrait image measures 7x5" and depicts the Georgia Peach in head-and-shoulders form wearing his Detroit Tigers gear. Photographer's identification marks across top border read, "Tyrus Cobb Detroit Americans" and there is slight image loss at the bottom that does not affect the image of the man who amassed an incredible .366 batting average over the span of a legendary 24-year career. Comes from the Brown Brothers archive along with many other spectacular images offered elsewhere in this auction.
