Ty Cobb Signs a Baseball Photograph (PSA Type I)
Triple Crown winner and one-time hit king Ty Cobb gifts an autographed baseball to a Boston-based nurse in 1948, some 20 years after his final game, in this 8.5x6.5" publicity photo culled from the Brown Brothers archive. The "Georgia Peach" was actually a patient at New England Baptist Hospital at the time, undergoing a gallbladder operation. The image exhibits some corner creasing and includes a typed caption on the reverse. PSA Type I encapsulated.
