Ty Cobb Single Signed Baseball

Ty Cobb Single Signed Baseball

The story of Ty Cobb is as well known as his reputation for being the fiercest competitor ever. The owner of ninety major league records at the time of his retirement in 1928 and the leading vote getter in the inaugural class of Baseball's Hall of Fame, seven ahead of even Babe Ruth and Honus Wagner. Offered is a Reach Official American League (Cronin) baseball single signed and inscribed by Cobb just a short time before his death in 1961. In bold blue ink that grades a "9" out of possible "10" is, "To Barbera Burns-From, Ty Cobb-3/22/61." The ball itself is flawless displaying light and even toning with stampings that are only slightly faded. One of the finest single signed specimens available and one of the last ever signed by this diamond legend. LOA.
