Very Early Boston Red Sox Pennant Circa 1915

Very Early Boston Red Sox Pennant Circa 1915

It's not often one encounters a Boston pennant for the Red SOCKS, but that's how the team was commonly referred a century ago. This large, mid-teens pennant features a batter bunting in an early high-collar uniform with Boston Red Socks misspelled across the red felt. On the player is written 1915 in pencil. It is framed very nicely although the pennant is faded and has a few tack holes. There is also a small piece missing in the top corner. Overall VG condition for this rare pennant, which is roughly 28" long. The frame measures 39.5" x 21.5".
