Very Rare 1960s Pittsburgh Pirates Figural Ashtray by Fred Kail

Very Rare 1960s Pittsburgh Pirates Figural Ashtray by Fred Kail

Master sculptor and hobby legend Fred Kail crafted this Pittsburgh Pirates sculpted ashtray. Created in the 1960s, this memento stands 9" tall, and is 6x6" wide at the "ashtray" base. The burly Pittsburgh batter features the combination of muscular arms and an expansive midriff, giving great character to what is clearly a power hitter. Reads, "Pittsburgh Pirates" in white on both faces of the ashtray, "Pirates" on the jersey and even "Louieville Slugger Bat" on the bat, likely purposely misspelled due to copyrights. Among the first we have ever seen, this ashtray is in EX+ condition with no chips or cracks and has a wonderful finish.
