Very Rare 1971 Brooks Robinson Baltimore Orioles Prototype Jersey
Rare and exceptional 1971 Baltimore Orioles prototype jersey signed by Brooks Robinson. Though not game worn, it is perhaps more spectacular in that it is much scarcer than a regular jersey. This prototype is identical to one that Brooks would have worn in a game except that it is orange, as it appears the O's were considering this design in the wake of their 1970 World Championship but never went with it. Button front jersey is light orange with black trim, Wilson size 42 tag on tail and 5-42-1-71 strip tag in collar (uniform number - size - set number - year). Script Orioles is across the chest in black above number 5, back has B. Robinson in individual black letters above the number. The 16-time Gold Glove winner has signed inside the collar in 7/10 blue marker, which has slightly bled into the back of the collar. Also signed below the front number with Best Wishes inscription.
