Vic Power 1977 Old Timers Game Trophy with Signed Baseball
Part clock, part souvenir and all-around spiffy craftsmanship, the trophy Vic Power received for playing in the 1977 Philadelphia Old-Timers Game evokes the Golden Era in which he excelled. Old-fashioned wood-framed clock with roman numerals, metallic Philadelphia A's hat made to appear bronzed, and lighted display chamber of the game's autographed ball form a magnificent conversation piece. Octagonal wood base is 20 inches at its widest, and the piece weighs about 15 pounds. Power, a fancy-fielding first baseman, played with the A's in 1954 and returned to Philadelphia with the Phillies in 1964. Not a bad homecoming prize. Baseball that came inside the trophy is a 1977 Old Timers Game Baseball.
