Vintage Signed Sports AFTRA Collection (13)
An AFTRA contract is necessary if one is to appear in TV and radio commercials. This brace of AFTRA contracts from the '50s through the '70s carries the signatures of 13 sports stars seeking such work: Phil Rizzuto, Rocky Graziano, Sal Maglie, Johnny Mize, Duke Snider, Roy Campanella (secretarial), Willie Mays, Yogi Berra, Floyd Patterson, Joe Namath, Joe Frazier, Hank Aaron and Eddie Giacomin, who paid varying initiation fees of up to $300. Signatures in blue pen, 8s and 9s, accompanied by other information such as their home addresses at the time (interestingly, Namath, in '67, listed one in Birmingham, Alabama, not New York). Contracts are generally VG-EX.
