Wally Pipp Signed Photograph

Wally Pipp Signed Photograph

The headache that changed the history of the Yankees and the game of baseball. Pipp had a headache one day and asked Yankee skipper Miller Huggins for the day off. Huggins granted his request and replaced him with a young kid named Gehrig. We all know what happened next. Very rare signed photo (8 x 10"), as he died in 1965. It's a great one and he is still being considered for the Baseball Hall of Fame. Signed in thick black ink "To my friend Geo Maines to whom baseball is grateful for all he has done. Wally Pipp". Signature grades 7/10.
