Walter Johnson Painting by R. Tallon 1981
One of the most dominant pitchers of all-time, Walter Johnson comes to life in this gorgeous painting that was part of a series of five that depicted original Hall of Famers Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Honus Wagner and Christy Mathewson. Signed by the artist, R Tallon, at the bottom left corner in 1981, this excellent rendering of the "Big Train" in the traditional T206 pose was one of a limited edition of 367 prints that were made and sold in sets of five. The painting is in NRMT condition and measures 20.5" x 24.5" in its original frame.
