Walter Johnson Single Signed and Enhanced Baseball

Walter Johnson Single Signed and Enhanced Baseball

Walter Johnson signed his name on the sweet spot of this baseball, centered between two important dates: Aug. 2, 1907 and Oct. 28, 1927. The former was Johnson's major league debut against Ty Cobb and the Detroit Tigers. The latter is weeks after he pitched his last game in the majors. In between, he forged perhaps the greatest career of any right-hander. Johnson won 417 games and led the American League in strikeouts 12 times. Enhanced signature is on a lightly toned Official National League (Heydler) ball, but remains as bold as the Big Train's fastball.
