Walter Payton Game Issued Vintage Signed Jersey
Da Bears. With a growl of grace and style, Walter Payton rushed his way to victory, helping the Chicago Bears maul the Patriots in Super Bowl XX with a 46-10 score. Talk about a non-stop rushing romp, in 1985 ‘da bears’ pummeled the NFL, posting a bruising 15-1 record. Wearing his number 34 proudly, this Walter Payton game issued mesh jersey is a signature piece--in fact, it has Walter’s signature on the back, right in the middle of the number 4. It’s a huge, vintage black-ink signature (circa 1979), a clean scripted ‘Walter Payton’. There is minimal wear showing on this mesh jersey; there is some light staining. Manufactured by Wilson, their patch is stitched on the lower front; the size 44 is embedded into the patch. The powerful Payton name, is silk-screened onto the back. This Bears jersey has some smart touches, including the dramatic triple red stripes on each sleeve. But perhaps the smartest touch on this collectable is the fact that it was game issued and signed by one of the game’s super rushers.
