Western Trail Marker Ezra Meeker (8 photos)
A legend of the Wild West, Ezra Meeker was an obsessive marker of western trails, most notably the Oregon Trail. Pictured here in eight distinctive shots, this black-and-white collection shows the heavy-bearded man in a variety of poses. A head shot of Meeker is accompanied by an illustration of him marking a trail at the bottom of the photo. The shots are in a multitude of measurements but the overall collection is rated EX. In 1926, a statue of Meeker was erected in notice of his importance in Western history.
