It’s an Indian custom that’s highlighted in this Wild West Picture Card that was part of one of the most popular non-sports series of trading cards ever created. This is the original hand-drawn pencil sketch (measuring 3” x 3 1/2’) and was used to create and produce the color picture card that was part of a package that included a piece of gum, too!
