One of the most celebrated sports cartoonists of all-time, Willard Mullin was an industry legend, drawing daily for Scripps-Howard's New York World-Telegram and Sun for decades and was often published in the Sporting News. This special lot includes 13 original pieces of artwork centering on such sports stars and teams such as Jimmie Foxx, the World Champion Yankees, Harvard and more. Each is hand-drawn and signed. Also included are: a Christmas card and six letters to New York sportswriter, author and friend Tim Cohane. The art was gifted to Cohane, as well.
