While John Lennon regarded the words "Wings Greatest" as an oxymoron, his old Beatles mate found a wide and enthusiastic audience for his "silly love songs" with Wings, the million in sales earning Paul a platinum record for the 1978 compilation album of Wings ditties like "Band on the Run," "Another Day" and, yes, "Silly Love Songs." Shimmering platinum disk presented to Capitol Records (before Paul split with them, though he returned in '86) sits in a framed display against a black background with a plaque bearing the Capitol logo and the LP's cover. 14 x 21 1/2" o/a.
