W.M. Nash Duke Cabinet Card
During the late 19th century, the New York-based Duke Company produced a set of striking cabinet cards to promote their Honest Tobacco brand. Only four 19th century baseball stars were represented in the set, including third baseman W.M. "Billy" Nash of the Boston Beaneaters. This Nash N142 from 1894 measures 6 x 9.5" and is printed on thick cardstock. The colors are vibrant and it is amazing to think that this gorgeous specimen (it almost seems wrong to call it a card!) is well over 100 years old. SGC rated 40/3; VG. This is a true rarity for the discerning collector.
