Woody Hayes 1978 Signed Letter & 1976 Rose Bowl Program (2)
This original 1978 letter with unbelievably fascinating content was written by legendary Buckeyes coach Woody Hayes, to outstanding rookie quarterback Art Schlichter, a four-year starter and the last starting quarterback for Woody Hayes. Also includes a high grade 1978 Rose Bowl program signed with a 10/10 autograph right in the center of the cover. Culminating in a 1978 winning streak, his teams won 205 games between 1951 and 1978 were winners of five post-season bowls, and 13 Big Ten championships. The letter to Schlichter also included seniors' letters and a heartfelt declaration of "what it takes to be a National Championship team." He is fervently demanding his star QB to be, "tougher then ever, more ready then ever." Hayes certainly does not hold anything back, and the letter is just signed "Woody" in red felt tip. The Rose Bowl program from UCLA vs the Ohio State is just magnificent; overall NRMT.
