World’s Finest Ted Williams Negative Collection (20)

A fabulous array of vintage negatives from the start of Ted Williams’ career on the Boston Red Sox through 1955. Twenty timeless quality shots of vintage Teddy Ballgame to create the ideal shrine for the Boston immortal. All the following images were taken in Fenway Park: 1. Williams with Bob Feller & Charlie Wagner in 1941 (all smiling). Feller led the league with a 25-13 record. 2. Williams walking at Fenway in front of photographers who are lined up on the first baseline with cameras (1955). 3. Warming up in the batting cage (2 different). 4. Running in front of the old scoreboard with trainer in 1954. 5. With Sam Mele & Dom DiMaggio posing in full uniform. 6. With Wally Moses & Dom DiMaggio posing with bats in front of dugout. 7. Classic home run swing. Both the catcher and the umpire gaze upward in awe, as Williams makes his move toward first, dropping his bat. 8. Standing alone with bat & warm-up jacket. 9. With Naval personnel after being sworn in to the service. 10. Signing autographs for soldiers at Fort Devens (1942). 11. Receiving new jock strap in locker room. 12. Getting greeted at home plate by Bobby Doerr after rounding the bases (1942). 13. With arms around Army & Navy baseball players at Fort Devens. That is Bob Feller on his right (1942). 14. Out of uniform - going on fishing trip with his daughter, Claudia. 15. Out of uniform, getting his shirt fixed in the locker room. 16. Standing in full uniform with 2 other Red Sox players plus Bill Mckechnie & Lou Boudreau on Fenway's infield. 17. Williams with Joe Cronin and trainer. 18. With Charlie Wagner. 19. With Stan Spence in 1946 (2 different). Spence led the league in doubles that season. 20. With Bob Doerr. Each negative measures 4x5”. Excellent condition.
