Fine collection of wrestling posters of the highest quality. 1) 1939 Babe Zaharias versus Rudy Kay depicts this rough and tumble pair. Babe Zaharias was actually the cousin of George Zaharias, who interestingly enough went on to wed Babe Didrikson in later years. Some water staining. 19x28". 2) Circa 1949 Abe Kaplan versus George McLeod at the "Grand Opera House." Kaplan was the "Jewish Champion" and is featured with Jovanni Vargarini. Interesting Judaica crossover piece. 17x19".3) 1954 Babe Sharkey versus Jack Wentworth at the Meadowbrook Bowl. 22x28".4) 1968 Bruno Sammartino versus Hans Mortier at the Boston Garden with marvelous image of the World Champion. 22x28".5) 1970 Bruno Sammartino and Gorilla Monsoon versus Ernie Ladd and Waldo Von Erich at the Boston Garden. Features images of both Sammartino and Ladd. 22x28".The posters exhibit some wear, but any imperfections are relatively minor and easily overlooked considering the scarcity of these exemplars.
