WWII Tojo & Hitler Toasting Brutality by Burris Jenkins

WWII Tojo & Hitler Toasting Brutality by Burris Jenkins

This original piece was obtained directly from the family of newspaper cartoonist Burris Jenkins, Jr. Known primarily for his sports work as well as his writing for the New York Journal-American, this foray into the world of politics is a dark look into the impact of World War II. Beautifully framed and matted to 16x18", Jenkins' broad strokes depict Hitler and Tojo sharing a "toast," surrounded by an assortment of bottles labeled with atrocities for which they were responsible. The son of a prominent Kansas City Minister, Burris Jenkins, Jr., carved his own niche in the journalism world with his writing and artistic skills.
