Yellow Submarine Celluloid Featuring Paul McCartney
The Beatles were best known for producing some of the most cutting-edge and incredible rock music of the 1960's, but they're also fondly remembered for their quirky and irreverent film careers. This piece is an actual animation cel from the ultra-psychedelic 1968 film "Yellow Submarine," and features the animated counterpart of Paul McCartney under a cloud of magical colored smoke, with three very abstract portrayals of women in the foreground. A hand-painted work of art, this historical piece of Beatles memorabilia measures 15 x 11” (approx.) and is framed out to 20 x 16", with two stickers from Christie’s affixed to the back. The cel is in excellent condition with no paint loss or obvious damage anywhere. LOA included comes with the Beatles Yellow Submarine seal.
