Acquisition Specialist

Job Description

Client Relations: As an Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for talking and meeting with prospective and existing clients interested in selling their sports cards and memorabilia in our auctions or for outright purchase. If the item is of interest to us, you will invite them to send in their pieces, or if the items are significant, travel to meet with them for further evaluation. Evaluation and Appraisal: When clients send in their items, you will unbox and inspect them, and research the pieces to determine their history and value. Once the evaluation and appraisal are reviewed internally and are complete, you will communicate to the client their options for selling the cards and/or memorabilia with Lelands. If we are interested in buying or listing them in our auction, you will assist them in seeing the benefits and advantages of working with Lelands. Auction/Sale Preparation: For purchases and consignment items received for sale or auction, you will take notes to help our copywriters create accurate and compelling descriptions, recommend reserve pricing, and help forecast closing prices.
