Terrific missive in which Louis, having been felled for a time by illness, fairly crackles with his legendary enthusiasm "I am feeling my old self agian. I am back on the job again, leaving soon to go back on the road again doing my regular routines of concerts". Signed "Satchmo, Louis Armstrong" in blue pen. Signature is clear and bold, a near perfect 10. Pristine 14 x 20" white stationery with an image of a trumpet and "Satchmo" on the upper left quadrant. Very slight fold marks. With original envelope.
