1870s Bay State Dollar Store Baseball Carte-de-Visite
A dollar certainly doesn't stretch as far as it used to back in the 1870s, but this advertising CDV for the Dollar Store in Worcester, Mass, is a priceless early use of photography in advertising. Featuring an image of a baseball statue as an example of one of the dollar items, the reverse lists numerous other items of merchandise worth a buck. It is authenticated by SGC.
