1880's Kansas City Professional Baseball Player Cabinet Card

1880's Kansas City Professional Baseball Player Cabinet Card

This high quality 4x6” cabinet card is a prime example of the photograph technique so popular at the time. The Player is unidentified, but might be a member of the Kansas City "Cowboys" that played in the National League and American Association between 1886-1889. This card should date from that time period. The sepia tone photograph of the KC ball player is from the photograper Thomson in Kansas City, MO . The card is in EX condition and though the image is a bit faded it is still clear and these cards are a desirable collectable. These cards had no commercial use and were simply produced as mementos making them a bit more obscure and rare.
