This collection of Cuban newspapers, magazine pages and scorecards dates from 1883-1889. Contents include: 1. “El Pitcher” (1887), a weekly sporting magazine 2. “El Score” (1889), a Cuban baseball magazine which also acts as a score card (hence, the name of the magazine), likely sold at the games. 3. “El Sport” (1886), a baseball newspaper with illustrated Spalding, and baseball cigarette ads. 4. 2 copies of “El Sportsman Habanero” (August 2, 1883 & November 24, 1883), a weekly Cuban baseball magazine with Major League games standings & coverage. 5. An actual Cuban baseball scorecard from the 1880’s.
