1890’s Hurling Stick
Vintage stick used for the Irish game of hurling, a predecessor to hockey. This ancient club, reinforced with strips of metal, has been professionally cleaned. An interesting note: prior to the Irish uprising of 1916, the rebel forces trained and fought with hurling sticks, as firearms were forbidden by the occupying English forces.
