1897 Spalding Die-CutTrading Cards (3)
Fantastic set of highly detailed full color cards to celebrate Spalding’s twentieth anniversary. Each “Educational Athletic Figure” as denoted by Spalding, is shown participating in a sport (football, golf, and tennis) whose origins and rules are then explained on the verso. The Football player and Golf player have a very small paper loss on reverse as well as a tiny pencil mark, otherwise NRMT. The Tennis player has a small crease on the front right side, otherwise NRMT. Also included is the original Spalding envelope in which they were packaged. Slight discoloration otherwise NRMT. Colorful piece of turn of the century sports card art.
