On August 14, 1903 at the Mechanics Pavilion in San Francisco, World Heavyweight Champion James J. Jeffries defended his title against former champion James J. Corbett. These two had fought in 1900 with Jeffries winning by 23 round knockout in a difficult fight for Jeffries. This time it was easier as Jeffries stopped the aging Corbett in 10 rounds. Presented here is an extremely rare full, unused ticket to the event. The ticket is in Fair condition. The stub is attached, but has some tape to reinforce it. There is some creasing and minor paper loss on the number 2 in the lower left corner. Corners are rounded and worn. Despite the flaws this is one of the rarest early 20th century full tickets to appear at public sale.
