1905-06 Portage Lakes Lakers Hockey Club Team Photograph
Vintage presentational cabinet photgraph of the 1905-06 Portage Lakes Lakers of the IHL, the world's first professional hockey team. What a roster! Riley Hern in net, Joe Hall, Fred "Cyclone" Taylor, Bruce Stuart... the best of the day, and all members of the Hockey Hall of Fame. Obviously, Portage Lakes finished the season as the Champions of the International League in 1906. Extremely scarce as these large cabinet photos were produced to be presented to the team members. Original photo image measures 14x17" with a matted size of 18x22". In very good condition with some staining.
