1906 Marlin Firearms Advertising Poster by Philip R. Goodwin (14"x24")

1906 Marlin Firearms Advertising Poster by Philip R. Goodwin (14"x24")

Famed wildlife artist Philip R. Goodwin, like many of his contemporaries, frequently supplemented his income doing work for firearms companies. One such endeavor resulted in the lithograph you see here for The Marlin Firearm Co. of New Haven Conn. Created from his signature angle (behind the subject's shoulder), he paints a hunter armed with his trusted rifle, peering out from behind a stone at his unsuspecting prey. A classic piece of this great American artist's work, it has been only mildly restored and is in EX-MT condition. Matted and framed to 24"x36".
