1909 Negro League Baseball Field
This 5.5" x 3.5" postcard from 1909 depicts the Breakers Hotel and Ball Grounds in Palm Beach, Florida. About six years later, this became one of the most important Negro baseball fields in America. The Breakers Hotel hired the services of the Lincoln Giants, including "Cyclone" Joe Williams, Louis Santop and many other important stars. It is posted but otherwise EX.
