1956 Brooklyn Dodgers Tour of Japan Team Signed Baseball

1956 Brooklyn Dodgers Tour of Japan Team Signed Baseball

The only baseball we have seen signed at the 1956 Tour of Japan. 27 signatures on an unknown baseball that may have been used in the game: Jackie Robinson, Campanella, Snider, Reese, Hodges, Olson, Gentile, Hendler, Howell, Pitler, Homric, Roebuck, Bessent, Lillis, Jackson, Herman, Gilliam, Zimmer, Kipp, Newcombe, Branca, Aspromonte, Cimoli, Labine, and Erskine. Jocko Conlan and Walt Alston on the sweet spot. Ball is inscribed opposite sweet spot, “1956 Dodgers Japan.” Signatures are EX-MT; ball itself is VG-EX as it is a bit dusty. Overall EX+ to EX-MT. Interestingly enough, the last Brooklyn Dodger team and the last baseball team Jackie Robinson ever played or signed for.
