Tremendous collection of seventy original, 1st generation football wire photos. From the Scripps-Howard's famed NEA/Acme Archive. These were culled from thousands of football photos and were handpicked based on their images. They exhibit perfect contrast, artful composition and are by such brilliant photographers as Herman Seid. Vast majority date from the 1930's. Many have original paper captions and stamped NEA/Acme collection. Vast majority are college with Michigan State, Mississippi, Oregon, Georgia, Texas Aggies, Pittsburgh, Ohio State, USC, Fordham, Wisconsin, Idaho, Illinois, Minnesota, Carnegies Tech, Missouri, Purdue, Baylor, Iowa, Northwestern.
