1910's Royal Ponciana Original Glass Plate Negatives
Fabulous set of 13 original negatives shows one of the earliest Negro League teams. Royal Ponciana was the baseball team from one of the top hotels down in Miami, Florida during the first part of the cen-tury. They would invite the finest black baseball stars in the world to come down and compete against the other hotel teams in this infor-mal league. Ponciana included such great players as Smokey Joe Williams and Rube Foster. We have been unable to identify any of the players as major stars, so we are leaving the research up to you. We do know the importance of the team and each of these negs is a fragile slice of history. Each neg is glass and 5x7". They come in their original box and are NRMT and perfect for reproduction.
