1910 Emperor Nero Cigar Advertising Sign
Peerless cardboard ad sign is a display lover's dream. Awesome image of Nero on his throne in this celebration of Roman greatness. The sign is all embossed with actual gold leaf. Nero sits among his wenches, watching the Burning of Rome and a gladiator scene a la Russell Crowe, among boxes of his trademark "Neron" cigars. From Belgium, these cigars were award-winners, winning the "Grand Prize" at the 1910 Belgian Exposition (as stated on bottom). Sign is in excellent condition, measuring 32x26". Incomparable gold leaf frame gives this a look that is good enough for well, Nero.
