Offered is a mixed grade set of this extremely popular tobacco issue. Complete at 209 cards, this collection contains one of each number, with one variation. If not for the massive T206 set, we hobbyists would consider the T205 issue as the granddaddy of all tobacco sets. The rich gold borders surround the darkly hued fronts, contributing mightily to the sets’ tremendous overall appeal. It’s interesting that each of the major leagues, plus the minor league grouping all have different obverses. The American Leaguers have a baseball diamond motif, while the Nationals contain single colored backgrounds.
